Stamford Fire Department hosted the 1st Wildland school on March 19th,  the school was a great success.  We would like to thank all the students that came to Stamford for this area school.  There were 44 students and 24 support personnel in attendance.  Everyone had a great time and learned many different techniques from the Texas Forest Service in wildland fire suppression.

I would like to thank the staff from the Texas Forest Service, TEEX, and members of the Albany VFD, Anson VFD, Matador VFD, & Stamford VFD for helping with equipment, personnel and support of the school.
